I just love Halloween! It’s probably one of my favorite Holidays to bake treats. There are so many fun things you can make, like these Oreo Mummy Pops!
They may look a little intimidating to make but trust me they are pretty simple to make. You only need a few ingredients and supplies to complete these Oreo Mummy Pops. They really took no time at all and the best thing about these treats is that they require NO BAKING!!!! So beginner bakers rejoice! If I can make these, I know you can do it too! Give them a try and make sure you post your photos on Instagram and tag me in them so I can see your creations from my blog #eazypeazylemonsqueezee.
These cute treats would be great for sporting events (you know Moms, snack duty), school parties, and even your own Halloween party as little favors.
How To Make Oreo Mummy Pops
First, gather all your ingredients.
- 12 Oreos Cookies
- White Melting Chocolate (I like using Candiquik) OR 1 package of White Chocolate Chips & 2 teaspoons of coconut oil
- 24 Candy Eyeballs
SUPPLIES:
- 12 Lollipop sticks
- 12 Pop favor bags
- Plastic sandwich bag
- Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
OPTIONAL:
Stand for drying pops (I like to use a cake pop stand)
Next, carefully break apart your Oreos. Set them aside.
If you are using melting chocolate like Candiquik, follow the directions on the package to melt the chocolate. If you are using white chocolate chips place them in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave the white chocolate chips in 15-second intervals until melted and smooth. Mix coconut oil into the white chocolate. Adding the coconut oil to the chocolate chips will help thin out the chocolate making it easier for you to dip the Oreo Pops.
Dip the lollipop stick into the melted chocolate.
Then place the chocolate coated stick in the middle of the Oreo with the frosting on it. Then add the other side of the Oreo before the chocolate sets. Let them dry completely before the next step.
Let them dry completely before the next step. You can put them in the refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes to speed up the process.
After the lollipop sticks have set, you can dip the entire Oreo in your melted chocolate. Continually rotate the pop, letting the excess chocolate drip off. The chocolate will begin to set and stop dripping.
Place them on a stand to dry or if you do not have a cake pop stand then you can set them on parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Place remaining melted almond bark in resealable plastic food storage bag. Cut off one small corner.
Drizzle melted almond bark in a zig-zag motion over cookie sandwiches to look like mummy bandages. Press 2 candy eyeballs into each of the cookies.
Place the decorate pops in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes to set.
Wrap with the Oreo Pops with the lollipop favor bags.
