“Messy kitchen is a sign of happiness,” said Pinterest.
I’m digging into some Halloween spirit this week, starting off with an easy recipe that the kids will love: Halloween Puppy Chow! This Halloween Puppy Chow is perfect for Halloween parties, school snacks, or sporting events.
My kids loved this Halloween treat because they got to help out in the kitchen. Honestly, I usually don’t enjoy when they want to assist because they tend to make a huge mess, and if you know me, I hate messes! I’m trying to care less about the chaos because I love that they want to help, and I know there will come a time when they won’t want to be around me as much. So I’m working on embracing the messy kitchen.
Your kids can easily help with measuring out all the ingredients, mixing everything together, and of course, eating it all. Mixing is basically all you do for this dessert. Eazy peazy, lemon squeezee!

Tips & Tricks
- Having a reliable set of baking tools can make all the difference in the kitchen. The Wilton Ultra Bake Professional pan is a my favorite of mine, and pairing it with the Amazon Basics Silicone Baking Mat not only ensures even baking but also makes clean-up a breeze. Plus, not having to use parchment paper saves on waste, which is always a bonus.
- When it comes to ingredients, using Guittard or Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips is an excellent choice. Their rich flavor and smooth texture really do make a noticeable difference in baked goods.
