Hello October!!!
It is harvest season for apples and I have an EAZY crockpot recipe for you that your kiddos will just love!!! You will only need a few ingredients that you might already have in your pantry and about 5 minutes of your time to prep! Serve warm as they are or top it off with some vanilla ice cream. For the adults maybe some pecan or caramel ice cream!!!
How To Make Easy Crockpot Cooked Apples
First, gather all your ingredients.
- 1 Bag (approximately 14 ounces) of sliced gala apples or similar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Next, turn crockpot on to high setting.
Add bagged apples and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to a large bowl and toss until apples are covered.
Then add the sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon and toss until apples are covered.
Transfer apples to crockpot.
Top apples with melted butter, vanilla, and lemon juice and stir to combine.
Cook on high for 2 hours or until apples are tender without falling apart.
